The TRIIIAD Lab is run by Dr. Jacqueline Evans, but not much would get done without these people:

Affiliated Graduate Students

Costanza Alessio

Costanza earned her BA in Psychology from Florida International University in 2019. Since then, she has worked as a research assistant in labs investigating cognitive performance in high demand populations, and social phenomena in minorities and underrepresented communities. Currently pursuing a PhD in Legal Psychology at FIU, her focus includes investigative and intelligence-gathering techniques, deception detection, and courtroom decision-making.

Samantha Leo

Samantha received her BS in Psychology with a concentration in Forensics and a minor in Statistics from Coastal Carolina University in 2024. Her research interests are very broad. In her undergraduate career, she performed research in areas related to eyewitness memory, police use of force, and psychopathy, but her current interests lie in investigative interviewing, more specifically interrogations and intelligence-gathering, as well as deception detection. Most recently, though, Samantha has been interested in research surrounding the use and public knowledge of Miranda warnings.

Maria Sparacino

Maria earned her BS in Psychology with a minor in Intelligence and National Security Studies from Coastal Carolina University in 2019. She is interested in investigative interviewing, intelligence-gathering techniques, and deception detection.
